I went to a session this week and everything we were told years ago doesn't apply ...
As a new GreatGrand MaMa I can't stress enough how important it is to get yourself along to one of these sessions ...
All those old first aid techniques we were taught don't apply anymore ...
if someone is bitten by a something posionous ... DO NOT try to suck the venom out ...
did you know a small child can and has been known to drown in a pet's bowl of drinking water ...
did you know not to give a drink of anything if a child swallows poison ...
did you know not to rinse a child's eye's out under a tap if they get something in them ...
So many techniques to learn and ALL parents, grandparents, ALL relatives should attend one of these or something similar sessions ...
DID YOU GET MY MESSAGE ...
$55.00 and three hours out of your day could save your child's life!
contact HERE to arrange a session NOW!!!

Check out what we woke to in Sydney this morning ...
the whingers are whinging ... I say ...
spare a thought for the Aussies at war who live with this dust 24 / 7 ...
spare a thought for the outback Aussie's and the desert dwellers where this is the norm ...
it will pass!

September 11 on the calender ended here 30 minutes ago ... I'd felt unable to
post a fitting a tribute a day early Australian time ...
Eight years ago while watching cable TV and talking to MJ on the phone mid
sentence I said "a plane flew into etc ..." MJ shrieked ...
After being in New York months earlier MJ's reaction to the enormity flumoxxed
Naivety held me for a moment ...
My heart goes out to those who's lives have never been the same ...
Lest we forget.

Not any more ...
He's singing better than ever ... the crowd of all shapes and ages, went wild ...
Farnham was awesome, he seemed to have as good a time as everyone there ... especially when some young thing lept onstage and entwined herself around him ...
... he said 'I love my job' ... we said 'we love you John'
...for 60 years of age his vocal chords are as good as new!
... if you get the chance don't miss him!

A friend sent me the following ::
to answer the questions using the titles of a favourite band/singer?
She used Radiohead :::
I've used John Farnham titles :::
Are you a male or female: Only women bleed
Describe yourself: Talk of the town
How do you feel: I can do anything
Describe where you currently live: A touch of paradise
If you could go anywhere, where would you go: No ordinary world
Your favorite form of transportation: Rolling home
Your best friend is: You're the voice
You and your best friends are: Undeniably real
What's the weather like: Trouble & money
Favorite time of day: All of them
If your life were a TV show, what would it be called:
Seemed like a good idea the the time
What is life to you: That's freedom
Your relationship: Some do some don't
Your fear: Please don't ask me
What is the best advice you have to give: You'll never walk alone
Thought for the Day: Have a little faith
How I would like to die: Angels
My soul's present condition: That's freedom.
... why not answer the questions with titles from your fave group or singer?
... one more sleep I'm at John Farnham concert Yayyyy!
Whether you agree or not here's yet another example of the government sticking it's nose where it shouldn't be ...
The Mother of all Rallies was held in Canberra today to let the government know that their interference in a woman's right to give birth at home with a midwife in attendance is just that ... interference and none of their bureacratic business!!
Does the government have to regulate everything ... aren't women intelligent to know what's best for them ... OK if it outlaws backyard midwifery but there's enough alert, concerned, educated women out there to keep their finger on the pulse of this profession?
Isn't this another shining example of the government not being the government but trying to take on the roll of "parent" as they tend to do over and over again?
What's in it for the bureacracy?

8. My cat died/my boyfriend asked me to marry him/I just spent the night in the hospital and I missed posting for a couple of days. Can I just post a little extra this month to make up for the missing days so I can still be eligible for the prize drawing?
First of all, I'm so sorry/congratulations/I hope you get well soon. Secondly, no. If I let you skip a couple of days then I'd have to let everybody post whenever they felt like it, and that would defeat the whole purpose of NaBlo which is to get you to sit down and write something every day. If there's one thing I've learned from all this it's to post as early in the day as you can. You'll catch more readers that way (most blog reading gets done at lunchtime), and you won't have to worry about posting something lame after work when you're tired, or accidentally forgetting to post at all.
... and I don't blame EMK for making these rules ... imagine how catastrophic it
could become ...
I'll try again next month ...
now I've got other things that need my undivided ...
