Our Creative Spaces = How to fix that rattling bobbin = DIY = so simple ...

My Darling Janome has been working over time ...
she started rattling ...
plus the bobbin thread kept breaking ...

look what I found ...
I was so confident I'd kept her in good order ...
NOT ...

I'd never lifted out the Bobbin case ...
have you??

Imagine the money it might have cost ...
if I'd headed for the repair man?

Hope this helps your machine purrr like my girl is now!

Oh, I had to laugh when I read your post... I had a problem with my Janome, it was really noisy & kept jumping stitches. So I lugged it all the way thru the shopping centre to the sewing machine shop to be fixed. I explained the problem, they sat down at my machine to fix it... and said it was user error. I was so embarrassed, and the didn't charge me either. And cos I was so embarrassed, I spent $100 in the store to make up for their time!!

I have a Janome too, I've never lifted out the bobbin case, are there screws involved or does it just lift out?
Mine is giving me trouble, the fabric feeder won't feed the fabric, so the stitches all jam up in the same spot and I have to cut it free, then try and start over...maybe if I clean out the bobbin case?

Thanks so much for this...I decided to give it a go and found a similar stash under my bobbin holder...it runs so smooth now it's scary!!
